( I am roleplaying as Midnight. exploreshetan.proboards.com/thread/17/sakus-characters?page=1 Go there if you need her info.)The hybrid silently padded through the thick forest that she called her home. The leopard raised her head slightly, sniffing the fresh air, ears perked up. She took a look around her to make sure no one was following her, and laid down in the soft green grass, resting her head on her white paws.

Nuke broke into a trot as he entered the Eastern forest border, hoping to find some dinner as the cocky wolf mix raised his nose into the air to see if anything was around. Much to his surprise, he picked up the scent of leopard which was strange as he didn't find many leopards here. The male dropped into a crouch and crept towards the scent, even if he couldn't eat a leopard he could still have fun.

Midnight's eyes quickly opened as she caught the scent of a wolf, wondering if it was coming near her. She heaved herself up, her eyes darting around her, the black fire on her paw slightly bigger than the white one; a sign she was tensed. "Who's there?" The feline hybrid called out, hoping for a response from the other animal.

Nuke gave a growl from the bushes, hoping to scare the feline. The male kept low to the ground and crawled into another bush, keeping as quiet as he could.

Midnight was slightly frightened, but not going to run away. She remained still, and growled as well, looking at the bushes around her.

Nuke suddenly gave a louder growl and switched bushes, carrying on until he had reached the first again. The male lay in wait to see what the leopardess would do. Without thinking the black and white wolf mix flicked his tail, flicking a rock out at her.

The feline noticed a rock rolling out of one of the bushes. She stared at the bush for a few seconds, walking towards it and then putting a paw in it.

The male saw his chance, biting down on the paw before leaping out and landing on the feline. Nuke brought a paw down on her shoulder and bit down on the back of her neck, trying to get around the spine. With a snarl, the wolf's claws dug into the cat as he turned he slammed them down on her shoulders. Maybe he would be able to take this cat after all.

Surprised, she let out a roar of pain and anger. The black fire grew much bigger, and the antlers were glowing. She spread out her small wings, and, despite the male wolf's weight, took off, flying as fast as she could, to get the wolf off her. Meanwhile, on her paw, the fire was growing, almost reaching her shoulder.

Nuke let out a whine and dropped off before she got too high, scowling at the cat as he had felt the heat on his fur. The male gave a snarl before sitting down, watching to see if his play thing came back down.

As the wolf fell off her, the hybrid feline stopped, looking down to the ground to see the wolf sitting down, waiting. She flapped her wings, and dived down; the sharp point of her antlers forward.

Nuke gave a yelp of surprise as he figured out what she was doing and got to his paws, scrambling into the hollow trunk of an old fallen tree as fast as he could. The male scooted along to the top to get as much protection as possible and waited, hoping he would be safe there. The black and white canine curled his tail around himself and curled the rest of himself up, maybe this cat was not to be messed with after all.

The feline didn't stop, dashing right into the trunk. However, she hit it instead of the wolf. At least her antlers didn't get stuck in the wood. She backed off, and let out a huff; waiting to see if the wolf would come out of his hiding place.

Nuke flinched as he heard the rattle of the feline's antlers colliding with the wood. The male relaxed as he heard her back off and started to think out a plan in his head and mulling over weather to fight or escape. Escape seemed the more logical thing at this point but that would be cowardly... he would have to fight.

The feline awaited her enemy calmly, not moving an inch; But it was just a trap, pretending to be completely still, but she was actually ready to strike.

Nuke slowly crept towards the end but stopped a meter short, flicking his tail out for a second before scooching back again, just to see what she would do. And to tease her of course, mainly the latter.

The spotted feline hyrbrid stayed still, knowing Nuke's trick. The only part of her moving was her long feathered tail, giving a flick now and then.

The wolf gave a growl of annoyance and gave up. Quietly, he crept towards the end of the log and without hesitation jumped out, making a sharp turn and pouncing onto the feline. Nuke swatted a paw at her face before raking his claws down her back and sinking his teeth into her tail, jumping away before she could counter attack.

She let out a growl, closing her eyes due to the scratch. Still not moving though, but it was part of her plan; She didn't need to be able to see. She leapt forward, claws unsheathed and black fire burning brightly knowing the wolf's location due to his scent.

Nuke let out a surprised growl at the cat's blind leap but instead of hanging around he jumped to the side, dodging her attack just in time. Or so he thought. The wolf let out a growl of pain as he realised his tail had been caught.
